Melbourne Connect Co-working

The Driver

After Melbourne University’s co-working operator partner, York Butter Factory, entered administration before the launch of the flex space they had built, the university was left with a fully furnished space but no management in place. In response, the CIVIS Team was appointed to take over the space, ensuring a fast, seamless and cost-effective transition.

The Solution

  • Melbourne University partnered with CIVIS to operate ~2,200 sqm of white-labelled flexible workspaces across 2 floors at Melbourne Connect.

  • The CIVIS Team worked with the Melbourne University marketing team to create the brand name “Melbourne Connect Co-working” (MCC). This distinctive brand identity, owned by Melbourne University, holds the potential for future expansion and utilisation across their growing portfolio.

  • MCC includes flexible private offices, meeting rooms and open plan desks, as well as amenity offerings such as a podcast studio, communal areas and a multi-purpose event space.
